Raffles, Door Prizes and Silent Auction

200 readers will converge at Readers ‘n ‘ritas to celebrate popular fiction and its authors, particularly the amazing assortment of romance genres. Readers 'n 'ritas 2010, held in Allen, Texas  November 12-14, 2010, is a reader-centered conference that provides attendees with an opportunity to interact with some of their favorite authors and with other readers with the same passion for fiction.

Authors and publishers are invited to be a part of Readers 'n 'ritas by contributing to the raffle and silent auction.  Readers ‘n ‘ritas will raffle approximately 10 theme baskets (each valued at approximately $250). Additionally, a silent auction will be held for unique items and sets of books (grouped by theme or author). Proceeds from the raffle and silent auction will go to support Readers ‘n ‘ritas, and the Even Start for Success – Even Start for Success is a federally funded program that supports family literacy services for parents and their children with low literacy skills or who have limited English proficiency.

In appreciation for the contribution to the raffle and silent auction, Individuals and organizations will: 

·         have their names prominently placed on contributor and content cards placed next to each basket.

·         will expose their work to over 200 self-professed rabid fans of popular fiction.

Authors can contribute to the baskets for the raffles in a number of ways.

1.       Authors can individually or with a group contribute an entire basket on a theme of their choice.

2.       Authors can individually or with a group sponsor a theme basket (see below).

3.       Authors can contribute items to be included in one of the theme baskets (see below) or silent auction

       The following items can be donated to go in one or more of the theme baskets: gift cards (BN, Borders, Amazon, Starbucks, etc), books, t-shirts,

      Donate one or more items for specific theme baskets.

       A set of books (grouped by author, genre or theme) for the silent auction.
